Last night we had a fantastic dinner at a little vegan restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg called Hans Wurst Vegan Cafe. You won't miss the animal products in these delicious, beautifully presented dishes. The meals are cheap (around 7 euros a plate) and served and cooked by dudes with sweet 80's rocker hair and jean short cut-offs. I think I recognized one of them from Poison. (I thought it was funny that this particular photo says "Flesh & Blood" since I'm using it to describe vegan chefs.)
I had the White Bean Rostis and Roasted Chickory with Basmati Rice and Ginger and Red Pepper Sauces. Pat had the Tofu Veggie Burger with Potato Wedges and Ketchup. Both of our dishes were so flavorful and so delicious.
Here are some close-ups:
And added bonus to the restaurant is this little play area that kept Cooper entertained while we waited for and ate our food on the patio.
Just a little sidenote, like with any restaurant in Europe, don't go if you're starving because it seems to take a long time to get your food once you've ordered.
Try this place if you're ever in Berlin. Trust me, you'll love it!
